Today is the second week to study Curriculum and Learning Management in English subject. Today I learned about teaching methods and today my friends presents 3 methods in the class, such as : Belief, Content Based Learning, Problem Based Learning.
First, Belief are about how language are learned. Definite viewpoints on the best techniques for learning a language, the 'right' age to begin language study, and nature of language learning process are the subject. If Beliefs about language teaching are prevalent in the culture a large, then foreign language teachers must consider that students bring these beliefs with them into the class.
Next, Content Based Learning is study of both language acquisition and subject matter. Instead of teaching language in isolation, the target language becomes the medium in which important information can be learned. When the students are studying a content area of interest, they are more intrinsically motivated to learn both the content and the language simultaneously. The students are actually able to use their new language. Content Based Learning is most appropriate at intermediate and advanced proficiency levels.
Last, Problem Based Learning is teaching organized around the content or information that students will acquire and not around the linguistic or other type of syllabus. Problem Based Learning integrates the learning of language with learning of some other content.
Things I have learned today is Belief, Content Based Learning, Problem Based Learning. It can make me more understand about this methods, and I think this 3 methods is important for the teacher.
